Sakura Martial Arts Founded 21st June 2019 by Clare Potter and Natasha Barlow.

Clare a 5th Dan in Shotokan Karate and Natasha a 4th Dan in Shotokan Karate, she also holds a Black Belt in Kickboxing and is a Blue belt in Brazilian Jujitsu.

Both Natasha and Clare have been training for many years in Martial Arts and continue to do so alongside teaching because they believe that your journey as a martial artist is never over and there is always more to learn and discover in this beautiful art.

Clare Potter Sensei not only teaches the open classes and the kidz karate classes but has a very popular Ladies self defence class that ladies who have not previously done martial arts attend, training alongside ladies that have martial experience. These quarterly classes continue to go from strength to strength, with ladies returning to participate over and over, from all over the country.

Natasha Barlow Sensei not only teaches the open classes and kidz classes but can be seen teaching the Bully Buster course for children of school age. She is also a huge fitness fan and enjoys helping people achieve their fitness goals. Whether that is general fitness, fitness to be at their best to meet their Karate targets, or doing a Half Marathon.

Both Clare and Natasha feel passionate about martial arts life and decided that the best way they could encourage others was to start their own Karate School, so Sakura Martial Arts was born.

They would both love to see you on the mat training with them and being part of the Sakura Family where you will have lots of fun whilst learning new things and getting fit at the same time.
